What will happen if the campaign is sucessful?

Once the campaign is funded, we will begin to work on bringing Twilight Struggle out onto PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android devices! Last updated: Thu, Jun 5 2014 3:47 pm EDT

What do I do if I want BOTH a mobile copy of the game and a PC/Mac/Linux copy?

If you don’t want any physical items, then the best thing to do would be to back the $25 tier but increase your pledge amount to $30 (Android and iOS add-ons are only $5). If you wanted the physical rewards, the best thing to do would be to back at the $30 tier but increase your pledge to $35. When we send out the survey shortly after the campaign ends you will be able to let us know what the additional funds are to be used for. Last updated: Thu, Jun 26 2014 2:32 pm EDT

Will the “What If?” expansion be available to fans who aren’t backing this campaign?

Yes! We will sell this expansion after Kickstarter backers receive their copy, however by backing this project you will receive a version with Kickstarter-exclusive artwork on the cards. Plus backers will receive their copy before we start selling them to the public, so if you want to be one of the first to start playing this expansion you should look into backing that tier! The same goes for the promo pack! This will be available to the public at a later date, but backers will receive their copy first and it will also have Kickstarter-exclusive artwork on the cards! What comes in the Collector’s Edition box set?

Game Box: We’ve listened to your feedback, and have decided to go with a wooden box with a hinged top – really high quality and really easy to access. We’re not altogether certain on the depth yet, but it’s looking like a 4” deep box, the deepest we’ve ever produced for one of our games. We don’t want you to have any worries about being able to fit all the cool components in the box, so we’re going big here. Cards: The cards will have a new and unique graphic layout, especially for this edition of the game. The CE will also include sleeves for all cards. Map: We’re going with an even thicker, more durable map than the one that’s in our Deluxe Edition (and our players like that one a LOT!). And like the cards, the map is going to get a completely new graphic treatment for the CE. Counters: We are upgrading from cardboard counters in the CE to give you guys high-quality, stamped wooden pieces. Miniatures: The CE will include five metal miniatures to adorn several of your game tracks and add some cold war theme to your game play! We’re keeping the type/identity of these miniatures to ourselves for now. We want to surprise you! Rules and Player Aids: This is an area where we’re pretty much going with what we already have in the Deluxe Edition – thick paper/cards, full color throughout, with perhaps a bit more thickness and better coating. Dice: You’ll get two custom molded plastic “thematic” dice. We seriously considered metal dice, but all the ones we’ve ever used tend to flake from impact over time, so we decided to go with some high quality molded dice instead. A Fabric Bag: To hold the game pieces. Certificate of Authenticity: Signed by the Designers Last updated: Fri, Jun 20 2014 5:56 pm EDT

Will the Android Platform include Kindle Fire?

Yes it will! If you select the Android platform you will be able to play the game on your Kindle Fire. Last updated: Fri, Jun 6 2014 8:09 pm EDT

What are your tournaments you mention in the reward section?

Twilight Struggle will come with a single player mode against AI, pass-and-play multiplayer, both asynchronous and real-time online play so you can play against your friends or use Playdek’s matchmaking system to start a game, and a rating system so you can compare your score to the score of your opponents. All of this is included in the game at no additional charge. The tournament system will come with a separate rating system and leaderboard in place and will require a small entry fee to join (pricing structure has not been decided at this time). These tournaments will be a place to go to prove to the world just how great of a player you are and for eternal bragging rights. These tournaments will be online matches so that anyone anywhere in the world may participate. These “backer only” will only be available to backers at the appropriate tier levels. When we will see the game and the rewards?

We are expecting to finish the game sometime in February 2015, so you should start to see the game and all other rewards come out around March 2015! Last updated: Thu, Jun 5 2014 5:11 pm EDT

For the $130 and $150 tiers it says I get the previous rewards plus the Collector’s Edition. Does this mean I get both the CE and the Deluxe Edition mentioned in the $65/75 tiers?

Unfortunately no, you only receive 1 version of the game. Fortunately you are receiving the Collector’s Edition which is signed and will include special art and will be printed at a limited quantity so lucky you! Last updated: Thu, Jun 5 2014 5:54 pm EDT

Why do two of the reward tiers state January 2015 as the expected delivery date?

This is a mistake and they should read March 2015. Sorry for the confusion! Last updated: Thu, Jun 5 2014 5:11 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
